[Evolution] compiling with newest bonobo-conf

hello.
from what i understand, the head of the bonobo-conf CVS tree fixes a
problem on evolution on PPC (and maybe other platforms?) where
preferences aren't saved. does anyone know when this might get into the
snapshot release? i'm running a YDL 2.0 system, so i will need to build
from the src.rpms in
ftp://ftp.ximian.com/pub/evolution-snapshot/redhat-70-i386/source/
directory. 

actually any info on this topic would be greatly appreciated. i just
don't want to screw up my current setup too badly. i can be patient if
need be.
