You have two options:
1) use a non-pixmap theme
2) upgrade to the snapshot (from helix-update)
evolution-0.8-100_helix_2001011921

Both solutions worked for me, but the snapshot fixed a bunch of my
problems.  If you still have trouble, email me directly, we'll figure it
out, and then post the solution to the mailing list.
