[Evolution] Two little problems with Evo

Hi all,
recently, for some unknown reason, my message base under Evolution (0.8
preview release) came up badly messed: number of messages doubled, some
of them empty, other with content mangled, etc. Never mind, I thought,
instead of trying to clear this mess up I will delete them all and get
all messages back from the pop server (I have set the Do not delete mail
option). With my great surprise, of all messages on the server (about
150) only two, the new ones, were retrieved. So, the question is: is it
possible to tell Evo to fetch them *all*, read and unread alike?

Another little problem: periodically Evo retrieves this message from the
same mailbox:

 Da:    Mail System Internal Data <MAILER-DAEMON cisi unito it>
 Oggetto:       DON'T DELETE THIS MESSAGE -- FOLDER INTERNAL DATA

 This text is part of the internal format of your mail folder, and is
not
 a real message.  It is created automatically by the mail system
software.
 If deleted, important folder data will be lost, and it will be
re-created
 with the data reset to initial values.

Can I avoid getting it over and over again?
