Perhaps Evo could come up with a dialog box that says something like 

"This email is trying to download images from a remote location.  Are
you sure you want to do this?  yes/no/more info.
Show me this warning again for this email"... and a check box after it.

Then those of us who like to read their html mail in it's full glory,
can.  Perhaps put an option in the preferences to "automatically
download images in html mail" and a check box.

This doesn't explain the blocks for letters tho...
