8. Where's my vi/emacs? I'm a lot more productive in vi than in a gui editor.
I think this would require someone bonoboizing vi/emacs, which is (from my
understanding of gnome/gtk) a bit of an undertaking. Personally I'd love it,
because then it could be hacked into things like the Gnome IDE(s) that are
being developed, and allow me to use a nice multi-window/integrated/etc
debugger, and still use VI (know how much it sucks to always hit ESC-h|j|k|l
in the middle of a page all the time, expecting to move around? Course, it
could be worse I suppose, for EMACS hitting all those ^keys probably equates
to something far worse than extra characters :)
But rambling aside, the latest evolution is definately NICE!, but this
point prompted me to put in my $0.02 that I'd love to see this happen.
