[Evolution] Building with LDAP support

I'm trying to build an up to date anoncvs version of Evolution with ldap
support. I have the OpenLDAP package compiled from source in /usr/lib
but cannot get configure to successfully detect this. Does anyone have
any pointers on how I might go about this?
