[Evolution] problems with GAL 0.4.1 -> so close to evolution...and yet so far...

Whenever I try to install GAL 0.4.1 it says "ORBit --version returned 0.5.6
but 0.5.3 was found".
I did install 0.5.6 over 0.5.3, but orbit-config in /usr/bin says that it is
version 0.5.6 and I cannot find anything relating to version 0.5.3 anywhere.
What's going on here?
