[Evolution] IMAP, OFF-LINE, and pre-loading

Is there anyway to "pre-load" mail before going offline?

I know if I've read it, Evo will download the message, but I would like
to grab a bunch of mail from my IMAP folder before a trip soon.

Sorry if this has been covered, but I did not remember a definitive
answer to this.
