Shouldn't the tnef's be recognised if there's a mailcap entry
(eg, Debian with the 'tnef' package installed)?
application/ms-tnef; /usr/bin/tnef -w -f '%s'; needsterminal;
description=Microsoft's Exchange Encapsulation; nametemplate=%s.data
Although a problem is that the tnef files then in turn
may contain multiple files which have their mime types
specified inside the tnef file itself.
Our PABX prefers to e-mail us our voicemail in tnef format,
fortunately it was an easy config change to get WAV format :-)
[although then some functionality is lost if listening to
the voicemail under Windows, as the tnef functionality is
lost]

it should be allowing you to save it to disk like any other

Since this is so common, how hard would it be to
"recognize: it and then
have "save to disk."
Even a "this is a crappy Microsoft unstandard thing, you may safely
ignore it" style message would be better than "unknown,"
since, in fact
it is "known."
I suppose a filter with an auto reply recommending they upgrade to
evolution would be out of the questions :)

we don't support ms-tnef, this is planned for a future

Is there a better way to display this? This could
easily confuse a
