[Evolution] maildir vs mbox

hi
  I still need help converting to maildir...i'm hoping this will remedy the 
horribly sluggish behavior in downloading email.......the HD seems be doing 
alot of IO for a little email...

thanks anyone I love evo but its grinding to a hault for me...
