That might be it - I'm in England so Bug Day starts around 2pm and finishes 2am Friday morning. But surely it should display in the hourly view on Thursday and Friday?
Another very nice feature about sending attachments with events is that I don't need to care about what timezone you are in. Evolution does the math for me :)
