Can it be because in your timezone the event wraps into the next day??  

For me it started at 15:00 on thursday and goes to 03:00 on friday and
it ended up in the "all day events" panel.

Another very nice feature about sending attachments with events is that
I don't need to care about what timezone you are in. Evolution does the
math for me :)
