Sorry, I didn't see that last time I checked the mostfreq.

My comments will be added to the bug (#5892).

ARGH for some reason bugzilla won't let me add to the bug report; it
keeps reporting a mid-air collision (same one) and the "submit anyway"
button is scrambled.  I have tried 5-6 times.  

Here are my comments.

Not an IMAP-only issue!  I only use POP and am having this problem     

as well.  I haven't tried the click-to-folder,away,and back again     

(which seems to be what the reporter is describing?).  The     

solution I found was to toggle View->Hide Deleted Messages.      

      

Regarding Jeff S.'s comments of 09 August ("Because I guess if     

this was because we weren't emitting a signal, then the     

folder-tree countsw ouldn't update either, right?"):      

      

*** regarding the problem the reporter first documented: The folder tree
counts are NOT updating for me (as in Thomas Duffy's screenshot) until I
can actually see the messages in the folder!! I have to guess what
folder I have messages in, or check them all. Also Thomas Duffy's
problem was with the Inbox, not a filtered folder at all.    

   

These may be different bugs, then?    

    

Regarding the comments that mine just collided with:    

1. I do not have auto-check on    

2. these are real folders for me, NOT vfolders
