This is only my personal opinion (I really don't want to start a
flamewar!), but I think that's a good thing. Gnome toolbar icons are
big and chunky. Throughout ximian's efforts I have noticed much more
professional graphical design skills. I really like it.

It looks like I may be of the minority oppinion but I find the new icons
to be big and chunky when compared to Tigert's stock icons
(http://tigert.gimp.org/gnome/gnome-stock/). Particularly thgs like the
Compose button and the various arrows.

Allowing them to be customized by the user like in Opera would be cool,
but I'm not sure I would want my theme to go mucking around with my
toolbar icons.

I havn't used Opera, but the way Galeon and Nautilus handle it seems
pretty nice to me.

I recall that there may be plans to let themes define buttonbar icons.
(Does anyone know the status of that idea?) Untill that happens, though,
It seems that the Ximian icons, and thus Evolution is inconsistant with
the rest of the GNOME desktop.

Can anyone comment on this?
