Re: [Evolution] Is it just me?

Why is evolution so buggy? I've been following the development with
great interest, and always download the latest release using
helix-update, but it just doesn't seem to improve.

        Perhaps because you're using a development-cycle based
release? Have you checked the version or the headers on messages sent
using it?

Sure, new features are being added all the time, but the most basic
functions regularly crash or work very badly. I think quality has been
abandoned in favour of rapid progression of features.

How about you help all of us code it and improve it?

If basic bugs are not fixed early in the development, then I fear that
they will be lost under a whole heap of code that has been rapidly
thrown together.

Since the structure has changed substantially since the 0.0
release, I'd have to disagree. Why put extra time and effort into fixing
potential issues with features which may end up fixing themselves as the
underlying architecture of the application changes (witness: GAL)

Sorry, maybe I shouldn't complain because I can't spare the time to
help myself.

        Apology accepted.
