Hi to everybody.
A little suggestion from me: Maybe evolution should create its mbox lockfiles
in a different place like $HOME/evolution/lock or /temp/$USER/evoultion/lock ...
If I try to "Get Mail" from "mbox:/var/spool/mail/<username>" evolution says
it could not create a lockfile because the access was denied. I am running
evolution on a standard debian woody, and evoultion just is right about that point:
a normal user should only have read/write access to /var/spool/mail/<username>
and should need no rights for creating files in /var/spool/mail (AFAIK at least).
I know I could circumvent that by letting procmail put all my mail in e.g. $HOME/evo-mail
but that is too much work for your average outlook convert out there (me thinks ;)
hope that helps, all evolution users (+hackers) on this list
