I've noticed that this works fine for text messages, but when the
message is HTML the scroll only works when you mouse over the scrollbar
(which kinda kills the whole point).  Is this a GTKHTML thing or
something in my Gnome settings?


Probably GtkHTML's fault. Evolution displays HTML messages inside
iframes (inline html frames), and that must be messing with GtkHTML's
wheel scrolling support somehow...


This problem is fixed in GtkHTML in CVS HEAD.
