[Evolution] ouch

okay hit me now ...........:))))))

I did make uninstall in all the pertinent directories including
evolution/gal/orbit..etc.etc.
and NOW gnome desktop starts to load.....albeit VERY slowly....past the
part where the little icons animate to the right when starting up and
showing that picture I believe from Greece?..

anyway it then grinds to halt at a blueish screen..

anyway yeah I know the evolution readme webpage did  say uninstalling if
installing to /usr & /etc would be more difficult.....ouch they weren't
kidding......

so how do I get gnome back?
or do  I............:(
