Synopsis: Evolution crashes with IMAP mail; suspect disconnect by IMAP server

System: Linux 2.2.14-5.0 i686 unknown
C library: glibc-2.1.3-21
C compiler: egcs-2.91.66
glib: 1.2.8
GTK+: 1.2.8
ORBit: ORBit 0.5.4
gnome-libs: gnome-libs 1.2.8
gnome-core: gnome-core 1.2.3
Description:
Hi,
I am using Evolution 0.6 to read IMAP mail. I am also using Outlook
with the
same IMAP server specified.
When both are running, Evolution will periodically crash. There was a
message
in the status bar about 'maintaining connection to IMAP server'
(paraphrased;
I don't have the exact text).
My theory is this happens when Outlook checks IMAP mail, and the IMAP
server
disconnects Evolution's connection. I have seen this operation happen
the opposite
direction, where Outlook complains that it's been disconnected by the
IMAP server
when starting Evolution.
The crash is repeatable, with the same backtrace each time.
FYI,
Zach
