Interesting.  Could be tricky to do.  Especially since mail servers
like sendmail have no concept of mail flags.  imap servers do mind you.

You could configure the mail server to add a header like X-External to
messages that come from the outside and then configure evolution to filter
these messages into a separate mailbox or just flag them.
