The intention is to deprecate gnome-pim in favor of Evolution; it has
a much more sophisticated architecture and better functionality.  It
is also prettier :-)

Right now both the Evolution calendar and Gnomecal store their
calendars in vCalendar format, so both can read each other's files.
Bugs in Gnomecal notwithstanding, it should work OK.

As for the Evolution addressbook, it can save vCard files which
Gnomecard can read.
