Yep.  Evolution 0.0, as shipped works with released tarballs of every
package, and we plan to keep it this way.  Actually, it should not be
required for anyone to run CVS versions of anything when dealing only
with tarball files.

I understand this might not be ideal if you are tracking CVS evolution
though.
