Hi Todd,

The question I have is, what about support for other platforms,

I would love having good group scheduling software under Linux.
Unfortunately, some of the people I would need to share schedules with
don't use Linux.
Any thoughts on these issues?
To the extent that open standards (such as iCalendar) are supported, I
don't see why Evolution (or any other group scheduling software for
Linux) couldn't interoperate with non-Linux products. Having said that,
I don't know what the current state of such products are, i.e. whether
they're using open or proprietary protocols. I suspect there's probably
a mix of both.
So to answer your original question, I don't believe Windows support
(which I interpret as "a Windows port of Evolution") would be necessary
in order for interoperability to take place. That's ostensibly part of
the reason that the open protocols exist.
Is anyone else out there more familiar with how other groupware products
share scheduling information?
Cheers,
Jeremy
