751d6d1b. (Maybe you need to set OAF_INFO_PATH?)
The "Maybe..." bit is assuming that the shell couldn't launch
evolution-mail. But you will also get that error if evolution-mail
crashed immediately after launching. If so, there should be some other
interesting error message printed somewhere before that one...
