[Evolution] Evolution CVS has been broken for the past few days

I've been trying to get Evolution from CVS to work for
the past 2 days, and it's still broken.  When I launch
evolution-mail in a separate terminal, then launch
Evolution, this is what mail shows me:

*** Message -- STARTING Loading
"file:///home/dhensley/evolution/local/Inbox"
*** Message -- FINISH Loading
"file:///home/dhensley/evolution/local/Inbox"
folder name is '/home/dhensley/evolution/local/Inbox'
evolution-mail: error in loading shared libraries:
evolution-mail: undefined symbol: e_filename_make_safe

Where is this symbol supposed to be defined?  I grabbed
the latest gal (apparently release 0.3 is already out of
date).  I've been getting the same error since Thursday
night.

Also, when I start up Evolution now, the icons on the
splash screen show up twice.  Why?  And the first time I
start Evolution after installing a new one, it crashes.
