[Evolution-hackers] What happened to email-factory?

Hello,

I was looking forward to have the email backend moved into EDS so that I
can write a proper mail notification UI for gnome. But I noticed that
the branch here https://github.com/sragavan/e-mail-factory was never
merged and I can no longer see it among the future plans. So I am a
little curious what happened to this project? Has it been dropped
entirely?
