Thing is modifying the file directly will give you problems about which daemon is running or not and is cashing informations while using gconftool-2 directly talks to the gconf daemon. You might still need to restart evolution-data-server depending on what you modify but at least you don't have to bother with gconf state. -- Gilles Dartiguelongue <dartigug esiee fr>
