That has several side effects, because the file can be too small to give
the user the opportunity to stop download: unwanted files on the
desktop, slow apps like oo started ...
As i mentioned in the previous email, cluttered desktop is definately an
issue with using the desktop as the default dir. The solution is tricky
though. Slow apps should just be fixed.
