For someone who is trying to shape up a community (User Group) initiative, what you are communicating here with this attitude is just sad IMHO.
1) If everybody on this list acted positive, so I think you should be able to handle a bit of criticism.
2) Not everybody on the list actually discussed the Wiki situation. AFAICT only 3. And its the Wiki that is being criticized not the initiative.
3) Being Snarky, rude and sarcastic during the initiation of such an initiative makes me question how far this will go
My 2 cents for whoever cares..
Jon, if you do end up moving any of the pages, please make sure to add
redirects. A number of other wiki pages have been moved recently and
because redirects were not added, this has left a lot of broken links
all over the internet.
This looks really bad and is probably quite
harmful to encouraging participation.
I have fixed some of those, but
this is very time consuming after the fact so it would be great if it
was possible to have some sort of script to do it automatically at the
point when pages are moved.
