Hello,

I have recently installed gspca driver (gspcav1-20071224) for a web camera.
lsusb utility gave the following result

[root@localhost linux-2.6.29.4]# lsusb
Bus 004 Device 013: ID 0ac8:303b Z-Star Microelectronics Corp. ZC0303

The desktop i currently use runs linux (fedora 11
.2.6.29.4-167.fc11.x86_64).

Installation of the web cam driver was successfull. lsmod displays the
kernel objects as shown below.
#########################################################################
[root@localhost linux-2.6.29.4]# lsmod |grep gspca
gspca 660336 0

dmesg utility gave the following result:

And last but not the least, /dev/video0 exists.

So it can be seen that there is no fault on the driver registration side or
device recognition.

But when Ekiga tries to detect the device, the following error pops up.

"YOUR DRIVER DOES'NT SEEM TO SOPPORT ANY OF COLOUR FORMATS SUPPORTED BY
EKIGA".

I have enclosed the complete dialogue.

I have seen that this is a problem faced by many since the year 2009.
somebody should have found the solution for this.

What version of ekiga do you use?

Send us the -d 4 output (http://wiki.ekiga.org/index.php/Debugging_Ekiga#How_to_get_a_debug_output).
