So you execute ekiga -d 4 and no ekiga-stderr.txt file is put on the 
Desktop?  Could you search for it on the disk?  This is very strange to 
me, there is another person with the same problem!  Yet, the code is 
evident for me:

Maybe you find out what happens...?
