OK. But my original question is how to get ekiga3.2.4 to compile? I was 
forced to go to gcc 4.4 to get around an internal compiler failure 
reported earlier.  How did anyone get ekiga to compile if exceptions are 
not allowed but at least 10 files use exceptions?
