No answer since some days (and output sent a few days ago).
Should I file a bug ?
I have not sent your output when "you arrive at home"...
I sent it but the attached file was very large and I receive a "message
needs to be moderated" message. I suppose it never has.
You should find the log here : http://dpaste.com/25304/
Hi Mounir,
I looked at our output.
First, I see several assertion failed inside, from gmconf /apps/ekiga
keys. Do you know how does it happen that this key for ex. is not
string??? What is its value?
** (ekiga:24853): CRITICAL **: entry_get_string: assertion `gmconf key
/apps/ekiga/general/personal_data/short_status is of type
GM_CONF_STRING' failed
Second, I think the problem is that the address you request registration
from is private, look:
2009/04/03 18:04:03.386 0:00.980 subscriber:0x495b54b0 SIP Sending
PDU (550 bytes) to:
rem=udp$86.64.162.35:5060,local=udp$192.168.1.62:5060,if=192.168.1.62%wlan0
REGISTER sip:ekiga.net SIP/2.0
Route: <sip:ekiga.net:5060;lr>
CSeq: 2 REGISTER
Via: SIP/2.0/UDP
192.168.1.62:5060;branch=z9hG4bK42270903-091f-de11-8176-00112494cbef;rport
Ekiga cannot accept private addresses. It seems the same problem was
with Ren Min. It is important I think to understand:
- why this happens
- how to inform the user about that <- I will think about that
Note that mee too I use a internet box (freebox, as you) and use private
address for my machine and the freebox does NAT, however, my line is:
Via: SIP/2.0/UDP
82.238.108.175:5060;branch=z9hG4bK8a32fd1c-2222-de11-83ec-001b639fea73;rport
so it does not put my private address, but my public one.
I notice also in your output that stun is not used. Could you look at
preferences, general, general settings that disable net detection is
off? Anyway, the problem with your setup is that all the gmconf keys
seem unreadable (see the assertions above)!!
Before doing anything else, could you save your ekiga gmconf keys
(/apps/ekiga) to have this "bug" reproducible?
Cheers,
Eugen
