Hello,

I am running into a little problem. I did dig into the wiki but to no avail.

Set-up:

Fedora 7.
kernel-2.6.22.9
Firewall disabled. selinux disabled
Ekiga 2.0.11

Router Modem ADSL SpeedTouch 780
Firewall disabled (once I get Ekiga working I'll test what I can close)
VoIp turned off

Modem routing Configuration

Protocol Port Range Translate To ... Trigger Protocol
Trigger Port
Any 5000 - 5100 5000 - 5100 -

Nat detection always Symetric.

That's the cause of your problem.

Are you sure port are correctly forwarded ?
Are you sure your router does not have SIP conntracking (in which case
you could disable STUN and port forwarding alltogether).

Hmm the forwarding seems fine I think:

conn tracking on the router, probable since it has a SIP facility natively, but I will need to dig into its entrails, it is not in the web interface and I do not want to activate the internal SIP.

As far as not doing STUN it's what I was trying to do.

I see that I am almost there, but ... ;-)

Cheers,

Philippe
