My sister's computer has onboard audio: Realtek HighDefinition Audio, a
Logitech USB webcam QuickCam Pro 5000 with built-in microphone.
My computer: onboard audio: HDA NVidia, Logitech USB webcam Fusion with
built-in microphone.

-d 5 output: the beginning of stderr.txt of my sister's ekiga-windows:

The audio devices shown in the Preferences window are:
Output device: Realtek HD Audio output
Input device: Logitech Mic (Pro 5000)
I did not select any device. When I press on "Detect Devices" the audio
devices are the same.
I could not reproduce today the problem where my sister can't hear me (I had
other problems with ekiga).

I don't know, there were no other audio applications running on her computer.
