I haven't tested with other things than MP3 yet but I did investigation
on other MP3 I have with both English and Japanese text in them. First
of all, it seems this is the only album in my collection that produces
this problem but I have found a pattern within it. It seems it is
(surprisingly) the only one with both artist and album name in Japanese
text. I have found many albums where either the album or artist name are
in English and the files seems fine and shows up properly in amarok and
in easytag. I have also found that the fact that 05 appeared in the
artist name is just a residue of amarok trying to find the correct
information in the track file name and does this with English only
tracks. I would suggest it is in the way the ID3 tag information
protocol is interfering with the way Japanese characters are written on
the file.
