This is not an official answer, but there is always ongoing development.  You can always get the current - not yet release developing version of Dia.  You can then report on issues to the developers, which can be a good thing, but since it is not released you have to accept that in some ways it may not work right, you can't make any demands - they will just have to refer you back the the official version.
