Re: Big brackets/braces, how to draw in Dia?

Greetings, Chris Green!

I want some big brackets (as in very tall { and } characters), can
anyone suggest a way to draw them easily? It's basically a long line
with a collection of quarter circles attached so I guess I could do it
that way but it feels a bit clumsy.

If you would specify, what you really want to do, it would be easier to help
you.
There might be different ways to achieve your goal, some even radically
different.
If you just want to draw some equation, a more specialized tool may suit you
better.

I want to label groups of connections on a plug, so something like
(ASCII art here) :-

         ( Con1
         | Con2
To LCD | Con3
Display < Con4
         | Con5
         | Con6
         ( Con7

Does that make sense?

Yes, it does, but I myself would use a triangle.

I have produced an acceptable result using lines and small arcs but a
Dia object would be easier to use.

Besier curves would do the trick. You just need one 2-segment line.
