Hi Don,

'/usr/share/dia/shapes/Flowchart/display.png
You picture is there in the right place, but there's a problem with the
library to read the file.
Could you check/reinstall your libgdk-pixbuf2.0?
How did you install Dia (using the package manager or did you compile
yourself) ?
Are there other Debian Wheezy users having the same problem?
Regards,
Steffen

I agree that it is my installation that is at fault. Later today,
I'll try installing dia on another computer here running essentially
the same OS. I'm betting it will install and operate OK.
It could be I removed some file in ignorance or an unlikely case where
I have a corrupted file. Or a remote possibility that the Debian
(Wheezy) package has a bug. Thanks for your efforts to help.

I still need help on this. I'm hoping someone who likes to solve
mysteries such as this one may lend a hand -- I'm willing to try
anything and report results back. All efforts appreciated.
