compiling dia 0.9

Dear all,

First of all, please excuse me for using a html (web based) email. No other choice for now...

Now the problem. Trying to compile dia 0.9 I get the message that libunicode not found. Still, the library was installed successfully. The system that I am using is a HP Vectra VE, Pentium/200, running RedHat 6.2 with kernel 2.2.20.

Further, you will find messages given at configure time:

Configuration:
        Source code location: .
        Compiler: gcc

Libart (AA rendering, png export): yes

        Gnome support: no
Build bonobo component (not supported): no
       Gnome-print support (not recommended): no

        Python support: no
       (LIMITED) Freetype support: no

Unicode not present. This will NOT build.

Still, checking if libunicode exists, the result is:

libunicode: /usr/src/libunicode-0.4/libunicode.la /lib/libunicode.a /lib/libunicode.la /lib/libunicode.so /usr/lib/libunicode.a /usr/lib/libunicode.la /usr/lib/libunicode.so /usr/local/lib/libunicode.so /usr/local/lib/libunicode.la /usr/local/lib/libunicode.a

Thanking you again for your valuable help, I apologize again for the lenght and for of the message.

Valentin
