Can't delete objects if menu bar is activated

I just installed dia-0.89 on NT 4.0 and found this bug: If the menu bar is activated (i.e., the File, Edit, 
View and other menus are displayed along the top, rather than popping up when right clicking in the diagram), 
Crtl+D no longer deletes an object.  Edit->Delete still works, however.
