FWIW, the app menu "Quit" does not quit Telegam, so this is worth
exploring though a bit orthogonal to the question of removing the
menu.
Probably because it doesn't actually have an app menu, so gnome-shell
adds one with a single entry, which would do the same thing as closing
(all of?) the app's windows.
