Actually, I think I just found a big problem with gtkmm's devhelp index:

It seems to be a doxygen bug - hopefully we can figure out a simple test
case.

That might explain things! The point I made in the presentation about
this contains all the information I know about the problems with gtkmm
documentation — someone else was on that project, so all my information
is second-hand. I’m getting in touch with them to see if we can clarify
what the problem is, and whether it’s the one you’ve just found.
