GNOME Bugzilla contains many products, many of which aren't actively
developed or even integral to the current project. That number is
probably a bit deceiving.

That said, the level of maintainership does fluctuate between modules,
and some are better than others in terms of being able to contribute
easily. My advice to any new contributor would be to start with a
module where there is a lot of maintainership activity going on. There
is actually a wiki page with details on which modules these are:

If you want to start, one of the apps in the recommended section is a
good place to get going.
