Thanks to everybody who helped! We're now in a much better shape, but
it's still not perfect. We have three modules where a release would be
welcome:

 + metacity: there are many updated translations, two changes in the
   code. And most importantly: the most recent tarball fails to build
   with gcc 4.5, which means I can't build it. See
   https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=606719

 + glade3: we are staying with 3.6.x here. However, there are several
   fixes in the gnome-2-28 branch, including a fix for a crasher. And
   many updated translations again.

 + ekiga: we are staying with 3.2.x. And I see various fixes in the
   gnome-2-26 branch.

Help is welcome :-)
