just had a quick look at gnome-settings-daemon, and it's failing because
of missing X* data types, so I guess it's missing some dependencies?
Maybe that's the same for lots of other modules?
In fact, when running jhbuild from scratch, I always end up having to
install several xorg-*-dev packages.
