Sure, but my point really is that gnome-power-manager is a pretty
typical application and so memory hacks like this should probably be
generic. Maybe even a creating a libgnomebugbuddy might solve the issue.

It was mentioned last year in an a11y thread on this list that as an alternative, bug buddy could be a GTK module loaded depending on XSettings.
