having seen the mock-ups, I'd say that Brian took the Gimmie UI and
pumped it up on steroids; not that I say it's not borderline-crack in
some parts, but I think it's a nice approach and at least there's some
UI design process behind it.

better than the people asking for a complete rewrite in XUL or
high-level language just for the sake of it for sure.
