Or, to put it in different words: how does the release-team feel that
deciding to use 2.8 makes sense (as in: is a big help to developers) at
this stage when we're deep, deep in feature + UI freeze and days off
from string freeze? We can barely use any of the features *because of
the freeze*.
I'm not against 2.8, I'm sure it's lovely and provides us pink clouds
and blue elephants, which we all love. But it's just too late. This
should've been decided at least 2 months ago.
