Hrm the symptoms from bug
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=118063 - which is mentioned in
a line marked for removal - talks about delay problems I can now
reproduce both with and without the gdk_set_sm_client_id call. Something
weird seems to be going on.
